Games brewed slow, savored long.

Moonbrew is a small studio making warm games with small stories, living worlds, and mechanics you want to sink into. We take our time with every batch, like tea steeped under the moon.

Our next batch is on the stove. Check back soon.

What we brew

The house recipe

Every Moonbrew game starts from the same three ingredients. The amounts change from batch to batch.

2 tablespoons

Warmth

Our games can be sad or a little spooky, but they always leave you feeling warm when the credits roll.

A pinch

A little strange

Paper boats that sail the night sky, shops that only open at full moon. We like premises that make you lean in closer.

A double helping

Patience

We would rather ship late than ship half-brewed. Every game gets the time it needs to be ready.

Process

How we brew

Every game moves through four phases of the moon. We don't move on until the current phase feels right.

  1. New Moon

    Idea

It starts with a feeling we want to share. We write it on a single page, then let it sit for a week. If it still excites us, we keep going.

    About 2 weeks

  2. Crescent

    Prototype

The roughest playable version, with grey boxes and placeholder sounds. If it isn't fun like this, pretty art won't save it.

    1–2 months

  3. Half Moon

    Production

World, story, and music brew together. Regular playtests with players shape where the game goes next.

    1–3 years

  4. Full Moon

    Release

The game reaches players. After launch we keep tending it with fixes, updates, and the occasional small surprise.

Studio

Small studio, big pot

Moonbrew started with a group of friends who stayed up too late talking about games.

We work from Indonesia and make games for players anywhere. We keep the team small and the batches careful, so each game gets our full attention.
